I am sitting here in the FESPA office fighting my way through the marketing campaign for FESPA Digital and I thought I'd have a look at how the numbers are growing for our Lunchtime events on the Wide Network.
I have to say I am fairly impresed, but only because I seem to have more guests attending my session than Frazer and Marcus - but please don't tell them I said that!
I need more of you to sign up!!!
In the ideal world of course you'd all be there, but in reality I understand that many of you have other obligations which will keep you away from Amsterdam.
However if you are planning to come to FESPA Digital and haven't signed up to one of the lunchtime sessions (especially mine) I'd like to know why? It's a serious question. Is the content not to your liking? Or is it the timing you're not happy about? Maybe (and this would be my excuse), you don't want to commit to something before seeing what else is going on during the show?
My reply to these and any other reasons would be this:
The wide format print industry is built on and grows because of, the innovative forward thinking, risk taking, revolutionary nature of its leading lights. In short - people like you. By the very fact that you're part of this network makes you open to the kind of thought process which causes innovation, communication, change and growth.
We're all about growth. Growth of the community, growth of business and ultimately growth in profits.
Now, there are 738 members in this network - I can't believe that only 40 of you are coming to FESPA Digital. Which is how many are signed up to one of our three events. As i've said in my latest email campaign (which is what I SHOULD be finishing instead of blogging to you lot), "A revolution is only as strong as it's component parts." through your participation we will create an amazing vehicle for communicating some truly great content - but without you it will fail!
So if you ARE coming to Amsterdam in May and you've not committed to a lunchtime session I say, Suck it up! Bite the bullet! Sign up and support your industry!
With my best wishes (and just a hint of humor)
Andrew
